catch up♡♡♡

Hello lovelies ♡♡♡ I apologize for being so inactive on my blog. I've been super busy with school and life, but i'm going to try my best to post consistently.

So far during this school year many exciting things have happened, but there have been some negative things too. Something positive is that I joined a theatre tech class and I've been able to do so many wonderful things in there! I got to help with costumes on a play we put on in October, i'm going to get to help design costumes for the next play we're doing, and i'm going to get to design my own costumes for a competition! If my designs for the competition are good enough they'll get judged professionally and I could get to spend a week in San Antonio doing fun designer things ♡! I'm super excited about all that! My art class is really, really fun!! I love my teacher and the assignments we get to do! We also have art competitions, and since i'm in advanced art i'll get to compete in that and possibly win some metals!! Art and theatre tech have been my favorite part of high school so far.

Turns out, real high school is nothing like High School Musical...I should have taken middle school for granted. I really miss all my friends that got transferred to the other high school and I miss my teachers and all the fun times I had. In high school I barely have anyone to talk to and everyone seems so rude and disrespectful and everyone has that 'I'm better than you' attitude. There are some people that I can talk to and relate to how I feel. My friend Maddie is amazing, she's one of my very good friends. When I talk she'll just listen and give me amazing advice and it just calms me down.

I need to spend more time meditating on scripture because school is starting to really distract me from what really matters. I get so caught up in my grades and my surroundings and I really don't make enough time to just be still. Life can get so overwhelming, but i'm so so blessed that I can find peace in Jesus. Without that I have no idea what I'd be doing to relieve all the stress and anxiety I feel.

Anyway, I pray everyone is doing well. If you need prayer for anything let me know and I'd be more than happy to pray for you♡♡♡! xxxxxx

My new hobby!

Hello everyone!Today I will be sharing with you a hobby I've started that I've been enjoying.

In the past year I've really liked the idea of taking lots of photos, and editing them to add a bit of pizzazz(if needed)! So recently I decided to give photography a try. My mom gave me a camera and I started to take lots of pictures. I went to my front yard and started taking photos of pretty random things like mom's car and some trees. All of a sudden a gorgeous butterfly comes to this bush beside me and just sits there for a couple of minutes. At first I didn't take a picture of it because I was thinking it was going to fly away in a matter of seconds, but it stayed like it knew I was taking pictures. So finally I decided to take some pictures of it and I'm still surprised it didn't fly away considering how close I was to it! I got a pretty picture and edited it on my laptop!

I can't wait to take more pictures later and get better at photography!

Thank you for reading, until next time...

I love these 2 verses!!

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all that He has done." - Philippians 4:6 (NLT)

-  I like this verse because  sometimes I tend to just worry, and worry, and worry about even the littlest of things, but this verse reminds me to stop the worrying and get to praying!

"You are my refuge and shield; I have put my hope in your word." - Psalm 119:114 (NIV)

-This verse actually reminds me of who God is-that He is my protector and that a great way to remember these things is to put my hope in His word and His word into my heart and actions.

My 4 favorite vintage style icons!

Yesterday I posted my top 5 favorite modern style icons, and today I will be sharing my 4 favorite girly vintage style icons!

                                                                1) Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn just needs an entire post to herself (I might actually write one about her)! For now though, let's talk about her style. Audrey Hepburn was a British actress who died on January 20th of 1993, and I've seen a good amount of her movies (and have fallen in love with them all). On set and off set she was seen in the most admirable clothing! I'd have to say that the dresses she wore are my favorite!

                                                                        2)Grace Kelly

Like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly was a British actress who played in some of the older movies I enjoy. Later in life she quit her acting career and became the princess of Monaco (yes, a real-life princess). Sadly 26 years later she passed away in 1982. When I first watched the 50's movie 'To Catch A Thief' I quickly noticed how stylish Grace Kelly dressed the first time she made an appearance. I immediately fell in love with that blue dress she wore in the first scene she was in!! I wasn't even paying attention to what was going on, I was so drawn to that dress!
-Blue dress I just mentioned-
(although in the movie I don't think it was that blue)

3) Princess Diana

Diana Spencer was the princess of Wales and died on August 31st in 1997. Her style wasn't as girly as Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor, but I'm still a fan of the way she dressed. In fact in my opinion some of her looks kind of remind me of a tomboy, but she made it look lady-like enough. I love that about her style, the way she could make a sweatshirt and khaki Bermuda shorts look so feminine! Being a princess meant that she got the prettiest dresses (which I'm instantly a fan of😍)!

4) Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor was an American-British actress (whose movies I have yet to see) and died March 23rd of 2011. I love her style because of the girly-vintage feel it has. Unlike my first 3 picks Elizabeth Taylor's style is really truly something I don't see these days. Sometimes I wish I was around for when women dressed the way she did, but I was born the year I was born in for a reason. She possessed such stunning feminine style and beauty her entire life (all four of these women did)!

That's it for now! Thank you so much for reading, I hope all of you have lovely days! Until next time...
